Thought Fashion Week was next week? It is! But Aqualara got a jump on the game, showcasing the Spring & Summer ’07 swimsuit collection at Time Supper Club’s first ever Music Loves Fashion event, on Thursday, March 15th. I’ve got to say, rammed from wall to wall, this event was a smashing success.

Whether you were there to check out upcoming styles or just sample some eye candy, you were bound to come away satisfied from this show.

It all started with an unexpected musical duo... a beat-boxer and an electric harpist. It was a definite crowd-pleaser. I’m sure anyone who witnessed it would agree with me that the beat-boxing was absolutely amazing. It actually took a second or two for me to figure out that the guy on stage was making the sound himself and it wasn’t some sick track pumping over the sound system.

Whether you were there to check out upcoming styles or just sample some eye candy, you were bound to come away satisfied from this show.

The first couture out on the runway were sexy bikinis in turquoise and brown, followed by copper and brown suits with innovative cuts. This set the palette for spring and summer... fresh but earthy, with a metallic twist. Yes, metallics are still en vogue, as illustrated in the show’s accessories and accents.

The innovation continued with suits that emulated clubwear and the newest cuts in black, metallics and traffic-stopping red. Actually, if a lady was to sport one of these numbers anywhere near traffic, it would not only stop, there would be a multicar pileup!

Each suit to hit the runway was hotter than the one before. If this is any indication of what we’ll see on the beach this summer, you can be sure that jaws will drop, tongues will roll, and the drool will be dripping a-plenty.
