Rosalie's is located at a famous Montreal address. The 145 year old building was formerly the home of Alexander Galt, one of the founders of the confederation. The Italian inspired building is currently known as the David R Wood House, in reference to its last residing occupant. Throughout the years, this popoular location situated on de la Montagne has been host to the largest funeral home in the city (the Wray-Wanton-Wray) the infamous 1234, a fetish club during the seventies, and another equally popular club in the eighties known as l'Esprit.

The Buona Notte Group took over the abandoned building in December 2002 and Rosalie's was born. Half of this grand building was renovated to accommodate a bistro. Without being retro, the decor is inspired by Montreal's great bistros that were very vogue during the fifties. The tables in the restaurant made from pine were recycled from the old roof of the famous Angus factory adding a touch of authenticity to the place.

In the spirit of both minimalist and modern, the walls are covered with large mirrors and wood panels that vary in colour from honey to a rich mahogany. The space is furnished with superb banquettes made from leather. Last but not least, the large and inviting marble bar is the ideal place for a little aperitif or even a full meal.
