Join MMA and other Singles for a day of fun and adventure at North America’s largest winter celebration - Ottawa’s Winterlude.
How about?
* Skating on the world’s longest skating ring right in the downtown of Ottawa (Rideau Canal is nearly 8 kilometres long). It is a very unique experience. You may bring your own skates or rent them at $12 (on a nice day, the rental line-up can take up to 45 minutes).
* Admiring marvellous snow and ice sculptures
* Visiting great museums: National Gallery of Canada, Canadian Museum of Civilization, Canadian War Museum, Bank of Canada/Currency Museum, Science and Technology Museum, etc.
* Exploring the city’s attractions on your own
Plan for the day:
* 9 am, we meet by the yellow bus at the exit of De la Savane Metro (8261, boul. Décarie; rue de Sorel). It is an excellent meeting point for getting on a highway towards Ottawa
* about 10 – 10 :30 am, we stop for a short coffee / washroom break
* about 11 am, we arrive in downtown of Ottawa
* 7 pm, we meet by our bus and go for something to eat nearby
* 9 pm, we leave Ottawa
* about 10 – 10:30 pm, we stop for a short coffee / washroom break
* about 11 pm, we arrive back at De la Savane Metro (the last train for downtown leaves at 1:03 am on Saturdays)
Price includes: the round trip to Ottawa’s Winterlude, a beaver-tail (Ottawa’s culinary speciality), hot chocolate, map of Ottawa, info sheet with Ottawa’s attractions, fun with new friends and all taxes.
