What a overhyped cluster#%ck of a time we had. We arrived at 11:30 only to find that our table which was reserved for bottle service was already taken, and we had confirmed several days in advance and on the night of. And they still wanted us to pay although they had fucked up... no thanks. I had heard alot of good things before going Saturday night and none of the hype lived up to the actual night. I had expected more since the write ups big it up so much. Toronto had and still has better nightclubs. The closest I can compare Opera to is Meow (rip) but not even as close to as nice or cool. Opera is a top 40 bar with a lot of ginos TRYING to be cool. I think it suffers from Toronto envy. I was going to better clubs 10 years ago, montreal still has to catch up -- opulence, fashion and the clubbing in general. It's very disappointing if you consider yourself a clubber and show up here, tremendous let down. Atleast I met some woman and made the best of it. IMHO, cheesy with a capital C. Should have known better with a name like Opera. Last thing, they say it's like the clubs/bars in Miami, Ibiza and New York, I 've been and Opera doesn't even come close. Rating:
