Blue the Salon is La Jolla's most alluring and inviting boutique style salon. Residing in the heart of Bird Rock, Blue was named for the incandescent Pacific coast just steps away from its entrance. Warm and fabulous professionals provide you with expert cutting, coloring and styling services that reflect your personal style and rejuvenate your mind.
The intimate 1,400 square foot studio boasts an antique yet mod elegance. Clients relax in plush reupholstered velour barber chairs, surrounded by sheer draperies that ascend from the high ceilings.
Oversized gold-framed mirrors adorn the tiffany blue walls, illuminated by the ever present southern California sunlight. A custom-designed tiled shampoo and coloring station resides in the rear of the salon to ensure the most intimate of settings.
Blue the Salon is built upon the wants and needs of the client, weather it be the newest trend in hair or a timeless classic look. Each and every stylist represented at Blue has undergone intensive training and believes in continuing education in order to stay at the top of innovative hair styling techniques. The salon features a variety of top label personal care products.
Owner and stylist Tom Leach, along with wife and co-owner Elaine Leach, have striven to recreate the classic beauty salon experience in the blossoming Bird Rock community. Consistently expanding and progressing, Blue the Salon continues to feature exquisite hair amongst a compassionate and relaxing environment.
