Hey Ross! Las Vegas has so many wonderful hotels to choose from.
If you want a hotel with a more youthful/party atmosphere I would definitely choose The Palms or the Hard Rock Hotel. Keep in mind both of these hotels are just off the strip (about a 10 minute taxi trip to the main traffic area) but offer a trendy stay with popular nightclubs and restaurants in each hotel.

If you are looking for a luxurious stay directly on the strip look into Wynn, Bellagio or Mirage. All 3 are great hotels and offer popular nightclubs, restaurants, and shows.
