World Renowned Turntablist DJ Revolution to Headline Vancouver’s 1st Hip Hop Producer Sound Clash

Vancouver’s top hip hop producers have a chance to compete for a $400 prize and bragging rights at Vancouver’s first ever Hip Hop Producer Sound Clash presented by Slow DJ’s and Swank Events. The competition, May 21st at Azure Lounge, will feature a live performance by the legendary DJ Revolution, with support from local turntable superstar Vinnie The Squid, as well as Erthtonez, Flip One and DJ Leaf of Slow DJ’s.
Not only does this event boast some impressive international and local talent, but it’s the first of its kind in Vancouver

DJ Revolution has collaborated with such heavy hitters as Boot Camp Click, Tha Alkaholiks and Dilated Peoples, and is resident DJ on the internationally syndicated, longest running commercial hip hop show in history, The Wake Up Show on LA’s Power 106. He’s also been featured in every respected hip hop magazine on the market, including The Source, XXL and Vibe.

Not only does this event boast some impressive international and local talent, but it’s the first of its kind in Vancouver, following in the tradition of competitions held in the United States that have seen the likes of Kanye West battling for the title of best hip hop producer. Entrants will play beats off their laptops for the crowd in head to head competition, to be judged by DJ Revolution himself and local B-Boy legend Flip Out.
