Friday July 21st, 2006. Dj Sneak at 99 Sudbury. 99 Sudbury Street. With Mischief and Frankie and Teeloo’s Kitchen. $15 at the door. Doors open at 11pm.

Fans of Chicago house are really in for a tough decision this Friday night, as This is London has Bad Boy Bill, while 99 Sudbury has DJ Sneak and the wonderful Toronto locals, Teeloo’s Kitchen + Mischief and Frankie. 99 Sudbury is a venue known for its true warehouse feel, so this party will certainly feel like a Chicago warehouse party in the late 80’s. Sneak will be bringing his trademark booty shakin’, sleazy, Chicago influenced house. This party is sure to go late, and one more thing?don’t stand by the front door anymore than you have to!

Fresh off the madness that was the Joe Claussell event at Sunnyside on July 7th, milk and Richard Brooks are back again at Sunnyside Pavilion this Saturday night with house music legend, Kerri Chandler on the decks.

Friday July 21st, 2006. Bad Boy Bill at This is London. 364 Richmond Street West. With Addy + Manzone & Strong. $20 at the door. Doors open at 10pm

Bad Boy Bill makes his return to Soho Fridays at This is London. BBB last played at London in February in front of a packed house. This Chicago based DJ is well known in North America and brings a high pace and driving energy to the turntables as he spins. He is known for bringing some hip hop elements into his house sets, as he scratches and uses other tricks in his arsenal. With Addy opening (as well as Manzone and Strong) this is not an event to be missed. If you’re going to stand around, do it away from the dance floor! This party is for the hardcore.

Saturday July 22nd, 2006. Kerri Chandler at Sunnyside Pavilion. 1755 Lakeshore Boulevard West. With Felix and Gani, Richard Brooks, and Ali Black. $20 advance tickets. Doors open at 9pm.

Fresh off the madness that was the Joe Claussell event at Sunnyside on July 7th, milk and Richard Brooks are back again at Sunnyside Pavilion this Saturday night with house music legend, Kerri Chandler on the decks. Chandler has been turning out hits since 1992 and makes his long awaited return to Toronto alongside milk residents Felix and Gani as well as Ali Black and Richard Brooks. If the Claussell party was any indication, this event will be packed very fast, so it is best to arrive early. Chandler is known for his creative mixes and live sets, so it will be a treat to watch him be creative on the fly. Sunnyside is tented and ready to go rain or shine.

Saturday July 22nd & Sunday July 23rd. Global Gathering ? Sun Dance Music Festival (Beach Club, Point Calumet) with Danny Tenaglia, Steve Lawler, Victor Calderone, Bad Boy Bill, Manzone and Strong, Sean Miller, Christopher Lawrence and many, many more. 701 38 Rue, Pointe-Calumet, Quebec Canada. $50 at the door. 12pm to 12am each day

The first annual Sun Dance Music Festival just outside of Montreal boasts quite the impressive line up. With headliners Danny Tenaglia, Steve Lawler and Victor Calderone, as well as Toronto representing the scene with Nathan Barato, Manzone and Strong, and Sean Miller, this is a mini sample of the madness that is going on in Ibiza. This is a two day event that occurs from noon to midnight.

Expect a very diverse and mixed crowd for this event, with a pretty big gay presence as Calderone and Tenaglia have a huge gay following in Montreal. Calderone will bring the dark drums and the tribal house, as well as Tenaglia, although Danny will throw in a lot of surprises on the way. Because he is not spinning an extended set, expect to hear all the big tunes from Tenaglia. Lawler has tweaked his sound once again, moving away from the electro sound he was playing last year, into some dark, deep, minimal influenced sound (listen to his new Viva compilation to get an idea of what he is playing).

And one more thing...

Just remember, stay hydrated with fluids. This party will be in the sun and your body temperature will rise as you are active. I don’t want to see anyone fall sick to heat exhaustion, heat stroke or dehydration. Party smart!
