Thursday, August 31st, 2006. Connected Thursdays with Special Guest Clive Henry (Peace Division). 137 Peter Street. With DJ’s Manzone and Strong. $10 Admission.

The Connected party has moved from Hotel to Budo while Hotel is going renovations. Clive Henry is one half of Peace Division, (along with Justin Drake) and they have produced some influential records in the tribal house scene. Henry played a memorable opening set at Space, in Miami, during the Winter Music Conference alongside Steve Lawler. Henry is also a resident at Circo Loco in Ibiza and is a rather accomplished DJ. Peace Division has clearly influenced the duo of Manzone and Strong, as Joe Manzone has been known to speak highly of Peace Division, particularly Henry. It should be a very good party with Manzone and Strong opening for Henry.

David Morales is one of the co-owners of Sonic (and Stereo in Montreal) and he surely will be happy to play at his club.

Saturday, September 2nd, 2006. Sonic presents David Morales extended set. 270 Spadina Avenue. $30 advance tickets.

Sonic has been picking up steam as of recently. A couple of stellar parties, (in particular the Victor Calderone party on August 26th) have turned Sonic into the desired place to be after last call. With New York City’s David Morales playing an open to close set on Saturday, September 2nd, Sonic surely, will be one of the leading destinations on Saturday night/Sunday morning. David Morales is one of the co-owners of Sonic (and Stereo in Montreal) and he surely will be happy to play at his club. Morales will probably play until at least noon, so this is a party that is well worth the cover charge. Expect a mixed, diverse crowd for this event. The music is certain to be top notch! What time will Morales take his shirt off at?

Saturday, September 2nd, 2006. Milk, Garage 416, Richard Brooks Events and project.orange present Danny Krivit at Palais Royale. 1601 Lakeshore Boulevard West. With DJs Felix and Gani, Blueprint, Moreno, and Richard Brooks. $20 advance tickets at www.milkaudio.com

Palais Royale (www.palaisroyale.ca) has recently been transformed with a $4 million dollar renovation and is certainly one of the most beautiful venues in the city. New York City house music legend, and 1/3rd of Body & Soul, Danny Krivit returns to Toronto bringing years of history and experience with him. With seasoned house music promoters, milk, Garage 416, project.orange, and Richard Brooks events producing this party, it will be full of a diverse, educated, mature crowd ready to dance the night away under the stars. Check the Palais Royale website to check out the stunning pictures of this beautiful venue.

Sunday, September 3rd, 2006. The Guvernment Complex presents Labour of Love 2006. 132 Queens Quay West. With JOHN DIGWEED, HERNAN CATTANEO, BENNY BENASSI, ARMIN VAN BUUREN, FERRY CORSTEN, JUNKIE XL, and many more. $55 at the door

Labour of Love is undoubtedly one of the biggest parties of the year, and bittersweet time for most clubbers. Labour of Love signifies the peak of the summer, and the fact that summer time will soon come to an end. The Guvernment has spared no expense this year with this party, as they have some massive headliners in place for this party. With John Digweed, Armin Van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Junkie XL, in the Guvernment main room and the Kool Haus main room, respectively, and some cool acts in the Drink and even the outdoor tent, this party will leave a lasting stamp on the summer of 2006 in Toronto. It definitely was a great summer in Toronto, so enjoy this party responsibly, don’t get arrested, and be safe.
