A breath of fresh air blew into Toronto last Monday as L’Oreal Fashion Week launched it’s Spring 2007 opening festivities at Muzik.

The night kicked off with the debut of L’Oreal Fashion Week’s first ever beauty runway show Fragmented Time, an exploration of the creative minds of Eddie Maleterre (Artistic Director of L’Oreal Fashion Week) and Eric Del Monaco (Lead Hair Artist for the event) which depicted the evolution of a Canadian woman and how she embraces beauty and fashion to enhance or transform her look. Fragmented Time explored the emerging beauty trends for next season while highlighting the return of past trends showcasing three main themes: Emergence, Innocence and Experience.

Emergence showcased Northbound Leather, Izzy Camilleri, Envers, Report Collection, De Majuscule and Marie Saint Pierre.

Innocence brought on an ultra-fem look, with doll-like makeup in sugar-coated colours. Models strutted down the runway with cotton candy and ribbons in their hair. Innocence showcased Andy The-Anh, Iris, Arthur, Nuts, Eliane, Perplex & Lola, Aqualara-swimwear & Musi Fur and Shan.

Experience, reflected confidence & sophistication; with intense eyes, matte skin and elegant hair. Designers showcased were Thien Le, Arthur
