On July 1st, Cirque du Soleil held an exclusive 12 hour celebration to cap off Champ Car Mont-Tremblant 07 weekend.
The event, entitled K’ABA, featured unique live performances atop Mont Tremblant at the Grand Manitou. Attendees were ushered to the top of the mountain by telpher carrier. Once reaching the top they witnessed an extraordinary spectacle created especially for the occasion, the Grand Manitou was transformed into a Tribal Village featuring Cirque performers in show costume from Corteo, Alegria and Dralion. Performances included Russian bar, Cyr wheel and Chinese mast climbers. If that wasn’t enough, patrons enjoyed dancing from dusk till dawn with music spun by Alain Vinet, Cirque du Soleil’s musical director. Delectable food and drinks were served throughout the night.
K’ABA was in fact open to the public; however with a price tag of $250 for general admission the event was generally reserved for jet-setters, VIP’s and Champ Car drivers.
