White Party Week is approaching in leaps and bounds, and once more this year has an unmatched program of international DJs in store as part of its main event, presented the night of Sunday, March 23 at the Palais des Congres de Montreal (Montreal Convention Centre). On the occasion of this, its 14th edition, the springtime event unveils a daring new visual signature, loosely inspired by traditional Christian imagery but bringing together representatives of various religions and the gay community.

DJs David Guetta (FR), Armin Van Buuren (Hol), Ferry Corsten (Hol), Victor Calderone (US) and Offer Nissim (Israel) and the band Infected Mushroom (Israel) will be headlining the main event (Bal en Blanc), which is presented annually on Easter Sunday.

A reinterpretation of the Last Supper appears among other places on the cover of the new White Party Week program, more than 80,000 copies of which will be distributed starting this weekend in the Montreal area and at different urban centers in Quebec.

A 40-page full-color publication, the White Party Week program includes the complete lineup for the event taking place from Thursday to Monday, March 20 to 24. DJs David Guetta (FR), Armin Van Buuren (Hol), Ferry Corsten (Hol), Victor Calderone (US) and Offer Nissim (Israel) and the band Infected Mushroom (Israel) will be headlining the main event (Bal en Blanc), which is presented annually on Easter Sunday. A number of related events will also be taking place at a variety of Montreal clubs throughout this celebration of urban culture and diversity.

In addition to the Last Supper, the advertising and promotional campaign for the 14th White Party Week echoes key images from Quebec’s most prominent religious tradition, among them the Stations of the Cross, the Kiss of Judas and Original Sin. Photographs were realized by the Octane studio (Harold Fortin) based on a concept developed by Michael Armstrong. Far from seeking to show disrespect for or in any way cast a slur on the Christian religion, the White Party Week’s visual campaign aims simply to underscore the importance of accepting all people for their shared humanity, with no discrimination on the basis of their religion or their sexual orientation.

La Semaine Bal en Blanc arrive a grands pas et reservera encore une fois une programmation inegalee de DJ internationaux dans le cadre de son evenement principal, presente dans la nuit du dimanche 23 mars au Palais des Congres de Montreal. A l’occasion de cette 14e edition, l’evenement printanier devoile une nouvelle facture visuelle audacieuse, s’inspirant librement de l’imagerie traditionnelle chretienne pour y greffer des representants de diverses religions et de la communaute gaie.

En plus de la derniere Cene, la campagne publicitaire et promotionnelle de la 14e Semaine Bal en Blanc reprend des images cles de la principale tradition religieuse du Quebec, notamment le Chemin de croix, le Baiser de Judas et le Peche original. Loin de vouloir manquer de respect ou porter atteinte a la religion chretienne, la campagne visuelle de la Semaine Bal en Blanc vise simplement a souligner l’importance d’accepter toutes les personnes sur la base de leur nature humaine, sans discrimination pour leur religion ou leur orientation sexuelle.
